We’re at a fascinating juncture in history. On one hand, we’ve witnessed one of the greatest failures of our current system of capitalism. On the other hand, it’s full speed ahead with the same system! This article out of the UK is interesting, given that it suggests that the great compromise between capital and civil society promised by centre-left parties such as UK’s Labour (and of course our own Liberals) is perhaps impossible.
